Since the new INTEREST of FOREIGN COUNTRIES LOW
(SB 264) goes into effect July1,
changes have been made to the Florida Realtors Contracts for Sale and Purchase, all buyers must sign an affidavit at the time of purchase verifying that they’re not prohibited from purchasing the property.
📌Foreign countries of concern means the People’s Republic of China, the Russian Federation,
the Islamic Republic of Iran, the Democratic People’s Republic of Korea, the Republic of Cuba, the Venezuelan regime of Nicolás Maduro, or the Syrian Arab Republic, including any agency of or any other entity of significant control of such foreign country of concern.
Foreign buyers who got a property before July 1, 2023, may continue to own real property within 10 miles
of any military installation or critical infrastructure but must register with DEO by December 31, 2023.
